Elimu Project (Education)

Education is the most powerful weapon with which you can change the world. - Nelson Mandela

Promotion of Education

Going to school - and not dropping out - is absolutely necessary to create a poverty-free future. One focus of the work by Elimu project is the promotion of EDUCATION for schoolchildren.  "Elimu" is the swahili word for Education.

Many areas suffer from poor educational infrastructure, long school trips, a lack of school furniture and other amenities, etc. Although children from poor families sometimes have access to education, there are still enormous challenges - such as crowded classrooms, lack of books, lack of teachers and others school resources.

Your donations are used in a variety of ways to help children finish school successfully:

School fees, scholarships, school supplies, uniforms, tutoring and preparation for after-school careers.

Help in the right place

"Hands that help are hands that build."

Elimu project goals:

  • Promoting early education and Job experiences for children so they can have an idea of what life looks like after school. This helps children to develop and follow their dreams. This is achieved, for example, through early vocational training, visits to various companies and working places, etc.
  • Building or partnering with local schools and institutions to provide infrastructural construction and redevelopment, materials for teachers and students, as well as sports equipment, libraries and playgrounds.

If you would like to work with us to make this plan a reality, we would be delighted to hear from you.
